SBBTral tax refund problems. Please help!?

10 Jul

I received an email saying that SBBT received my refund from the IRS on 02/27 and that they would be posting it to my account that Friday 02/29. Here it is Tuesday and I still have not received the deposit. I have contacted my bank several times, they say that they have not seen any deposits, other than my payroll, and do not see any future pending deposits. I call SBBT and they say that they did their part, now it is up to the bank to locate it. Is it possible that they did not deposit it at all? We used them last year, and that friday it was in the account. Perhaps it will be there this friday? What should I do? We desperately need this money. What if it never reaches my bank account? I have verified with SBBT that they are using the correct routing and account number.
I had to use SBBT to pay my Turbo Tax fees, that is the reason that I used them bosniaguy

Help with California Proposition 13, death of spouse as community property holder, taxes?

15 Jun

My grandpa and grandma signed in under proposition 13 and it was based on a long time ago. I’m talking assessment of under 50,000 when going properties bought in the last few years are assesed at over 200,000. Grandpa, before he dies, makes Grandma and him community property owners and wills everything to her in the event of his death. My mom has power of attorney of grandma, just in case. Once we take his name off the property, for tax puposes, will Grandma’s property taxes change? They shouldn’t because she is protected under propositon 13 and inherits that. If anyone can help it would be much appreciated. I know it’s a weird topic.
