Tax Attorney Columbus Ohio

I had originally hired my attorney to set up child support, and visitation rights. We had an signed agreement stating that I pay her $100-150 a month, until paid off. She set up the visitation and child support for $800 total.
Well, I had to quit my job, because I am a high risk pregnancy, and my fiance is the only one in our family who has an income. He just makes $9 an hour, which supports 6 people.
Initially, I had told her, once I became unemployed, that I cannot afford to pay her by myself, that I will pay her the child support checks, and the rest at income taxes. Well, I had only received one check, which I needed, because our water bill got shut off. This has all been about a 7 month period.
She had talked to me like I hadn’t told her any of this, she knew about our water bill getting shut off, and she knew I wouldn’t be able to pay her, I asked her if I needed to find another lawyer, and she said no. I imagine it was because she expected to get something by then, but still.
We both have our area where I feel we have a fault. She did not set up the visitation rights, she has the child support set up. But no visitation rights. She also is charging my an extra $75 per every half hour I had called her on the phone with questions or she had talked on my case. Which she has 13 calls. I didn’t know all of this, I didn’t know that it would cost me to talk to her, I imagine she probably told me.. Nobody I know has ever heard of that, my fiance on the other hand, he had amazing lawyers, they were more expensive, but they actually worked on his case, and made a committment. I think they should have been paid more, on how great they did.
My lawyer wants the initial $800, and then some. Even though she did not do the whole case, and she said she can’t do anything else for me… which means she’s not going to finish.
Does she deserve the full $800? I was going to offer $400, since she did half the work, and if she agreed, give her $600, for waiting, because I understand a lot of lawyers wouldn’t do that, and she has waited quite long enough.
It irritated me, because she had talked to me yesterday, like I hadn’t informed her of anything, I told her ahead of time that I will pay her tax time, if I can’t pay her beforehand. The reason she quit working on the case, is because I told her I didn’t want her to work any further without receiving anything. I told her that I wanted her to finish when she was paid off a bit. Well, she says she’s not going to finish.
Does she deserve the $800? We both have failed to do our own thing. I want to know legal, and moral opinions. Thank you..
I have a very cheap lawyer, I do agree. In this case, it’s a matter of you get your moneys worth, obviously. I could have gone to legal aid, and got what she did done. I’m eligible… I understand that you are in a much higher law firm. She just now started out.
This is the same lawyer my father had, she charged him less than $400, that was a matter of getting child support settled..
