I keep hearing news reports that the Dept of Treasury is “in the process” of notifying businesses of the new reduced income tax deductions, but can’t find any official info on the irs.gov website or anywhere else…anyone know more about it?

Such issues, however, have derailed other nominations. President Bill Clinton’s first and second choices for attorney general both withdrew amid allegations they failed to pay taxes for household help. President George W. Bush’s first choice for Labor secretary withdrew after it emerged she had housed an illegal immigrant.
Is anyone in our Government going to stand up for what’s right, or just fall in line for Obama?

Of course I’ve made mistakes.
Big difference though – I’m not being nominated for the US TREASURY SECRETARY!!! C’mon, use some intellectual honesty for one moment. This guy would be overseeing the IRS – but we’re going to let him slide on a “little” mistake on his own taxes? Our Government needs some major scruitny and oversight, especially after this most recent collaspe of our financial institutions. Obama’s pick disturbs me greatly….it should disturb you as well.

Also in charge if IRS, just a bump in the road they say, he has not paid taxes for several years, how much more corruption?
How much of your wages can be garnished to satisfy non-tax treasury debt. Does the state I live in NY matter?

Also, how about social security, IRA and 401-K accounts as to garnishment or seizure? Is there some maximum percentage of wages they can take?
